“Dear Family
I have had a head injury. It has distorted certain memories, made me remember certain family experiences in the worst imaginable ways & made me bitter. There are also lingering effects that make me not want to hold glass cups for example, or fragile plates.
I do not want to stay bitter about you guys. I also don’t want to hold anything back. I have a head injury & I believe repressed anger is what leads to Psychosis. So my best possible route is to find a way to be honest and to make no attempt at controlling various social situations.
If you are stuck on amends. It probably isn’t the right time for us to reconnect. I will recognize there were a lot of good things I missed well I was out of your lives recovering. The most pleasant surprise was young women related to me through Grandma’s marriage pursuing higher education. That is stuff I feel positive about. I didn’t feel positive about stuff such as a limited male or traditional point of view judging females overly harshly. That to me felt like negative oppression. Oppression that made my sense of self as a leftist feel attacked. “
