Since I am not doing this for ratings anymore. I may as well get some use out of this Blog. I am going to Publish a Book Report on The Good Place. Show you some stuff I purchased related to the show? Along with a heart written plea to Google aka YouTube. You Bastards, could you please protect my Digital content access to this show! I consider it to be an important neurological drawback to a Conversation I had with someone. A Conversation about the morality of everything with my ex.

Intro

Imagine every single thing you do has a moral value. That ripples into the Universe. That is part of the plot of The Good Place. Which I first initially watched on Netflix. I now own rights to view it in YouTube.

This show to me? Represents like a very interesting and in depth conversation I had with my Ex. Imagine the morality of everything. I was stoned around Kaylib a lot. He was smart and liked tripping me out with far off concepts. Pre-watching shows often before showing them to me. Frequently explored in Anime. However this time it was more of a Sitcom.

Summmary of Events

I might just summarize challenges of the Seasons here. I probably won’t give a play by play.

1. Intro – Imagine being Eleanor Shellstrop. You arrive to the after life? Heaven I guess… You don’t belong because everyone around you is a virtual saint. You were kind of a selfish average person.
2. In Episode 3 of The Good Place Chidi Refers to Aristotle . I am tired of not knowing anything about this topic.  At this point in the show? Cause I am deep diving the show well working to understand the references. I am going to become acquainted with Aristotle on Politics. As it is something I should know… As someone who went to school for Business and Minored in Politics. Click here for my current Political Passion project.
3. Season 2 Episode 1 . Ellenore, Chidi, Tahani and Jason have their memories restarted. To do Michael’s Afterlife experiment 2.0 . Where Michael tries subtle manipulations? To Antagonize and torment the gang in a simulated world. Where the cast of people around them? Are played by demons in human suits.
4. Can we spare a moment to focus on the seriously screwed up way Jason is being Tortured? He is being manipulated. Everyone is acting like they think he is a Taiwanese Monk who took a vow of silence. In real life he is a guy from Florida with Impulse control issues. Could be Bipolar or Autistic. That is ok for a plot of a show by the way.

5. Season 2 Episode 1 Everything is great. Every After Life manipulation experiment Michael does. Actually ends up failing.

6. ‘It’s going to be the same every time.” Janet is basically touching on something all honest people know. All Lies have expiration dates. Michael’s long form manipulations can’t work. Cause eventually the 4 person human cast in his experiment. Start asking question about this Cult afterlife Socialist heaven Michael is manipulating into existence.

7. They are surrounded by demons in Human costumes!!! AHHHHH!

8. Season 2 Episode 3. First time you begin to see Michael start realizing his simulated after-life torture experiment was wrong.

In relationship to Aristotle. Janet later goes on to Explain why Aristotle doesn’t make it To The Good Place. In His writings on Politics? You immediately get into Pro-Slavery Politics. I hate it!!! I will learn of it because it is important to an Imperial background of education.

Important Character Journeys I resonate with.

The Face of Ellenore exhausting herself. Trying to not be offensive in a very Multicultural heaven. She also might be a bit drunk. I actually attempt people’s names persistently. However I to can struggle like a moron on certain foreign names. That is ok!

Chidi dislikes that Ellenore’s presence in the Good Place puts him in a situation where he has to lie. To keep cover for Ellenore. Ellenore proceeds to persuade him for his help by asking for a moral and ethics Teacher. Which I think on some level must intrigue Chidi. I hate lying for people. I will usually maliciously not do it. I may even trip someone on the way to not serving up a fresh lie for them. Chidi’s morality isn’t rock solid though. Cause he allows for lies that create privacy.

Janet the people pleaser – There is a Janet in every after life neighborhood. She is almost the Nintendo Switch of the after life. The show also compares her to an Alexa. Janet falls in love with the first man in the after life that positively socially relates to her. That is relatable. Sometimes as a people pleaser and passive aggressive person. I was to eager to fall in love with someone nice.

Tahani Being crushed by her sibling’s success. I can resonate with this. I have acted horrendously because my Brother is successful and people that mattered to me treated him a certain way. In the end this ends up killing Tahani. I was pretty much dead to my family after I lashed out at my brother’s success. Although they no longer act like I am the keeper to my brother’s absence and that is a win. I got tired of the shadows of assumed cooperation especially when this is a relative that arbitrarily decides I no longer matter. Then ignores me for Months or Years at a time. Even through life risking injuries.

Side Note: I was going to write something on Religious Studies and well I am still exploring the topic within my Audible.ca Library. Actually spending the time to study Religious Texts? Using a Historical Lense. This touches on my source beginning exploration of the Christian Faith and topics around it. As of this point? I am not a fan. Appears to be a Personality cult. Left over from Pre-historic times.
