Whether we like it or not? The Commercial slaughtering of animals is essential to most NorthAmerican people for their diet. Zoe Rosenberg 23 year old Social Media Animal Activist trespassed a Animal processing plant. She is not a regulator, she does not work on the site and she was not given permission to remove the animals.

Understand that if she didn’t face Criminal Conviction ? It would be an invitation for other Social Media Activists to do the same kind of actions. Whether you advocate for Welfare ? Or Animal Rescue. It is not your Business to interfere with Business as usual, block roads or steal chickens. We don’t just need to to send a message that Social media activists need to take a step back, we need to send a message that if you do use your activism to break the law? You will be held criminally liable. She is facing up to five years in prison. That seems fair.

I am from a farming Community in Brighton Ontario. I understand the animal keeping slaughtering process does not always look the best. That is why not everyone works in Meat facilities or farms. However this doesn’t mean these people aren’t doing the Business the public asks of them. It’s an essential service providing meat products to consumers.

The main stream media is now framing this as a chicken rescue trial. This is a disservice to the public. Let me be clear… This is a trial of Trespassing . This is another out of control social media activist. We need to send a message that this type of behavior from the public who might choose to make their Individual social accounts about causes of public concerns. That there are limits to what people can get away with in regards to this.

Right now there are Vegans who would work for an agenda to say ‘You should not be allowed to eat meat.” How far do you want to let these people go? Should they be allowed to go to McDonald’s and slap the chicken burger from your hands? Should they be allowed to enter private or commercial property and disrupt consumers from enjoying their choice in food? What are the boundaries? What I have to argue is that Zoe passes those reasonable boundaries. There have to be limits to what someone can reasonably do through Social Media activism. This is not the legal or moral authority to step on to a commercial slaughterhouse property and remove chickens that are intended for consumer products.
