Dear Mark Kirkpatrick

1. You can’t recruit enough domestic students for your college. That is because many of your programs don’t lead to employment with higher incomes. That is also because your college is a culture of unpaid labor. That needs to be stopped immediately.
2. You send students to their death. With a weather emergency policy. That fails to meet the needs & realities of your student body. Your College should not be allowed to stay open by law on days that feature blinding blizzards.
3. You over emphasize the good this institution does for the community. Though I am actually not sure you do that much. Many of the Communications grads were lucky if they got in a call center. Yes the college encourages a culture of volunteering. Although it lacks a culture of finding many students paid work during the semester. Also because of Loyalist College. Many students think they come to Belleville Ontario Canada. Thinking ‘I am going to make money here.” Not realizing Belleville Ontario is an extractive not a Progressive Economy. Meaning you only make money if you sink significant investment into capital accruing assets like a large school, call center or own a business or piece of real estate. The Income for work is not Living wage on average. It is by definition over exploitative employment.

In short Mark. You run your College like a D*** . How about some leadership? How about some awareness? How about seeing the Economy of Belleville Ontario as a whole? I know no Newspaper in town will ever challenge you. However you and the staff at Loyalist College in 2025 are goofs. Many of you deserved being laid off. Please burn in hell.
