Let me be clear Best Buy in Belleville Ontario should fire most of their management staff. However they should definitely fire Kishan Sewpersaud. He can’t ensure proper staffing levels, he is scaring customers away from the store with bad service on purchased products & he isn’t training staff properly.

‘Went into the store, 4 sales staff stood chatting at the front entrance and i needed some assistance. I had to interrupt them after about 5 minutes. They all seemed inconvenienced and asked another person, outside of their group, to assist me. I asked for what i wanted and he had to get one of the chatters to open a case. This woman, again, seemed inconvenienced. Should have just ordered online.” Google Review . Kishan Sewpersaud can’t ensure the service levels are acceptable. Cause one moment he is trying to staff the store to be lean. The next he is begging people to come in over the cellphone app and give up their days off. He just can’t get it together. As a result I can confirm his bad management style leads to these hit or miss staffing levels. The other problem here is that Management keeps the popular employees who like to gab with each other. Not the people like me who like to run around and service everyone.

‘Needlessly hostile and follows corporate rules to a fault.” This is what one customer told me about their escalation to Kishan Sewpersaud. They ended up claiming. ‘I really wish I could of talked to a friendlier Service oriented person like you. He makes me just so uncomfortable with his anger and hostility and I have no idea why.” Yeah this is the problem with promoting the most arrogant staff to management roles. Best Buy has this guy Arthur Martinez. Even he would be better than the majority of their management staff on in Belleville Ontario as of 2023-2024.

The last claim I will make is Kishan Sewpersaud is not training staff correctly. I was supposed to work mobile when I worked for Best Buy in 2023. I never received my training or a mobile login. I actually never finished training. Before they said my sales numbers weren’t high enough and let me go. Again I blame management for this.

Yes I Ashton Deroy worked 1 month at Best Buy but I don’t consider this failure on me. Best Buy has a sales decline problem that is well documented. Toxic Managers like Kishan are promoted. Which drives positive employees away and keeps a toxic core. When Best Buy goes under? It will have a lot to do with what took Sears down. A Toxic bunch of drama queens who would rather chit-chat in groups, staff the store improperly and push excessive judgment on newcomers. Rather than working as a collective to ensure the success of the store.

What I would of liked from Kishan?

Don’t simply communicate high expectations. Make sure I actually get trained. Don’t work to perpetuate a system where the well liked employees get away with everything but everyone else is treated like garbage by management. You are practicing a form of exclusion. In a work place that hangs mental health information and a pride flag in the lunch room! Come on be above this. Just to confront something? After working in Cannabis where too many people from different backgrounds are excluded in Belleville Ontario. I was kind of glad to work at a Best Buy with a diverse staff. However if when cuts have to be made? You go right for the LGBTQ Employees. Your acceptance is at best performative.

Commentary on this post inspired this post:

ashtonderoy.com/2024/04/27/taste-of-country-a-job-i-failed-at-that-was-my-fault/ – A job I failed at that was my fault? I can be humble. I am not always a 5 star worker. I have made mistakes. Listen when I complain about Kishan? I genuinely don’t feel I was given a chance to succeed. There were other people that felt similarly. It also didn’t have to be Kishan. I could of just as easily made this about Spencer. He was doing much of the same thing.

Later I would go on to scream at Spencer on the telephone after pretending to be a disgruntled customer. Why did I do this? Cause being a manager is not an excuse to be a bully. I don’t care that they saw this post. I don’t care about the weirdness of what I am doing. I am highly literate adult with a website communications background. I will use it especially if provoked. No one said Managers are the only people that can ever write someone up. I write up organizations all the time. If it comes off rational? Then I keep it published. For example look at this click here.

  1. […] ‘Firing the guy who fired me? ” Which was the intent of the blog post I wrote for anger management purposes after Working at Best Buy. That served a purpose for reconciling things to my narrative. However I am sorry if I ever made this person feel like I hated them, but was playing a fool to fuck with them. I carry no resentment to this person. […]

why does it seem like every time you post about something bad happening to you, it’s not your fault?

    1. There is something self-serving about speaking to our side to things isn’t there. Yeah Social Media is little bit of a narcissist game but what can you do? Go on Fat acceptance and they will all explain why it is not their fault they are fat. Go on a Depression forum. They will say it isn’t their fault they are depressed. There is even this woman who says she has time Blindness on TikTok. I am a HUGE Fan of her. HUGEEEE .
