Are you comfortable with how your food is made?

  1. Chickens that never see the light of day.
  2. Cows that are tortured before having their throats cut.
  3. Animal cruelty with birds. So intense that a 23 year old gave away 5 years of her life.
  4. That slavery is used in our vital food cultivation processes?
  5. ‘Veganism is more sustainable because it requires significantly less land, water, and energy and produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to diets that include animal products.” https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/jul/20/vegan-diet-cuts-environmental-damage-climate-heating-emissions-study

I am from Brighton Ontario from 13-17. I have confronted how our food is made. I understand the animal agriculture process of slaughter. I have moral reservations about whether this is something we should do as a society.

I have heard people who have worked apart of the slaughter process. That said they had their stomachs turned so much? They no longer wanted to eat meat themselves. Not just that killing the animals feels cruel. The Entire lives of the animal meat production process feels cruel. Including chickens that will never see the light of day in their entire lives.

A Sad truth.

Something that influenced my awareness on meat production.

Remember how freaked out culture was when Mad Cow Disease broke out?

‘Anyone who lived in the United Kingdom for more than three months between 1980 and 1996 cannot donate blood, according to the Red Cross. Neither can anyone who has had a blood transfusion during that time in the United Kingdom and France.” It’s because our efficient meat cultivation process is so crowded. That usually what happens? Is when one animal gets sick. A who batch of meat becomes contaminated with disease and or infection.

Another Vegan ruining her life.

Cause she had experiences that said reinforced ‘Cause you know this is cruel? You get to do obscene things to bring it to an end.” Is that moral though? I would argue it is not.

It inspires a symbiotic form of content. Where people make their names? Tormenting Vegans and saying ‘I eat meat HA-HA . Yay my narcissistic Freedoms ! ” However as long as the cause is obnoxious? The conversation will be a culture war. Which is exactly what us Pacifists want to avoid.

For the record it is acceptable to try to reduce your meat consumption even if social pressures and the available foods around you? Happen to be centered around meat and dairy. Not everyone has the privellage to pick all their foods. Some people are dependent on the food choices of others and I am here to say that is ok.

Veganphobia is over-blown.

If you don’t act obnoxious about being vegan. Say I tell people today? Oh I am eating vegan because I am bloated. No one is going to fight me on it. Veganphobia only exists as a reaction to obnoxious activism.
