Laundry wise I like self-serve and I like automated electronic payments. I think they have streamlined my laundry process with EZ Laundry. That it makes things convienient and faster. However… When you don’t maintain machines? They have a shrinking productive capacity which is limiting their ability to serve a wide range of geographic customers.

They fail service automation based on:

1. Not maintaining equipment
2. Inadequate service levels- Although they are the best staffed laundry place in Belleville Ontario on the service end. They just lack in physical equipment maitnence.
3. Productive capacity shrinking resulting in service stalls. 30 minutes to 2 hours.

My most popular posts have at times complained enough about bussing I am aware. However I still have to walk 30 minutes in the morning to get my Buss pass at Bride St West Giant Tiger. Rather than get it across from my house. Why is that? The automation equipment is being ignored.

2. The station is altogether improperly serviced. More focus on Security. Not enough focus on cleanliness, servicing routes and making passes available in Terminals. The way most towns and cities do.
3. There should be cash options for payment. As the debit terminal on this machine frequently fails.

Cause they don’t have the supervision neccessary to monitor checkouts. Self checkout failures include but are not limited to.

1. Increased retail theft. There is no check and balance person on the other side. Just a customer and a machine.
2. Failure to maintain productive capacity due to improperly educating workers on how to support the equipment.
3. Machines can’t support a wide variety of store transactions that are better supported by a cashier and increased cashiers capacity.
