Shouldn’t these be Short Paid Employment Training Programs funded by Corporations not Taxpayers?
There are multiple levels over government from Federal down to Municipal that have wholeheartedly endorsed this scam. A scam where Workers are made more poor and only the administrators or Corporations benefit. 6 Week programs with no one asking. ‘Wait shouldn’t this be paid job training?” Well shouldn’t it be? I mean what’s next? Doing unpaid training for your call center job at Loyalist College? There goes another Corporate gravy train with benefits workers should be entitled to.
This is one of those moments I remember. I am a human being first and a Lefty only in Politics. When I heard Tax Payers talking about? What a waste of money this is. From the Right side of the aisle. I realized ‘Well there is Universal Disgust here.” I am happy to have been apart of this.
If you are reading this? Don’t do Base 31 and don’t do Elevate Plus. Value your time. Only sell your labor for Hourly salary. Spending time with the disgusting Neil Dick and his mouthy assistant is not worth it. Believe me as a person who talked to both of them. Threw their hands in the air and said ‘You disgust me.” Anyone endorsing you disgusts me to. Apparently despite showing the program as endorsed by multiple Corporate hirers. Only JBS factory recruited the 2023 Class they tried to throw me in. Meaning the whole class was a giveaway to this Factory.
The 2023 Class they recruiting me for. Potentially they were going to send me off to JBS Foods. According to Trevor from the program. This is a company described as Neglecting covid protocol, people think the job gives them back injuries and again I say. Probably non-Union work.
I didn’t want that job. I probably make more money selling Cannabis Legally.Here is my major Contention. You start Elevate Plus or the Construction training program? My one guarantee after the fact? You will be more poor than you were for doing this program. Or you can pressure the companies involved with these programs to hire you on your merit and provide the training they should as BY-LAW ! By the way if this was a Free Internet course? I’d of said have at it. Or if it was a paid In person training also would of said have at it. It is just a Corporate giveaway saying to big companies ‘You don’t have to do the appropriate occupational training or label your jobs skilled jobs that pay more.” We Got it covered! Your Economic value & resources is robbed from this kind of work program. It is textbook Regressive Education.
A Progressive Education would respect the needs of the individual participants Involved. Or it would come to compromises with the students. A regressive education involves being talked at or insulted to your face. Which is what these courses actually are. If not it is just an outright abusive education approach!
