I feel like I have had my own slice of Canadian Culture. I attended the Brent Butt stand up comedy special in Belleville Ontario. I was there from 7:30pm until 9:00pm 3/27/2025. Something I always have to write from. How was the experience as a Queer adult with Autism?

It was one of the best stand up comedy shows I have ever attended. I barely had to directly interact with anyone in the cheap seats. Every direct interaction was pleasant. It was brief chit chat and using manners. Just everything I love about experiencing the local culture in Belleville Ontario.

Was I intoxicated?

I only consumed 20 mg THC in Wyld Real Fruit Pear edibles. Something related to the show. Brent Butt actually said something along the line of my god this town has a lot of Dispensaries. Yes there were Budtenders in your audience LOL.

What am I doing in the Buy Canadian Movement? When I can afford it? I am enjoying local theatre. Rather than streaming American entertainment on the web. I am paying extra to see our talent live.

This image links you to my Instagram page. There is a heart felt message about the show. Which I really was feeling extremely positively about. Despite maybe a flat looking face. I am Autistic and my emotions don’t always show in my expression.

I also Purchased the Audiobook Huge. Despite it being darker in nature. I am an ex English Lit student at Seneca College in Toronto. More broadly I was taking Business but I loved that course. Brent Butt is doing stuff outside the comedic space that I am interested in learning about. Like he even said Corner Gas wasn’t it for him in the theatre. I am like ok. Treat it like an interactive space. I want to know about the other things you are doing then.
